Seeing as we had good weather I thought it might be nice to venture into the countryside

The dogs are absolutely shattered now, they love a run around the fields instead of a walk around town. I think I need to get an estate car again though, the Civic is a bit small for 2 large dogs

if its the D15B7 like mine was, then no vtec, 102 bhp.

None of the EG coupes came with VTEC as standard, all had the D15B7.

The 4 door saloon however, was available with the D16Z6 or the B16A2

have you thought about doing a mini-me vtec conversion. depending on the engine you have, you could remove the head and fit a d series vtec one on.

That would work, but if you're going to the effort, its pretty easy to drop a B16/B18 in there, which you can pick up for next to nothing.
