Pretty much all the ones I deal with will do temp additions - AXA, Aviva, Ageas, Allianz, Highway, Abc (LV), Covea, Markerstudy, Sabre to name a few.

Aviva are one of the bastards that told me they don't do it! :evil:

Are highway still going? They were my first insurer, used to be based in my home town right next to Brentwood Station. :? I thought they changed their name to pegasus? :ugeek:

Oh my God, I'm not an actual insurance geek - why the drokk do I remember jobby like that?! :facepalm:

Pegasus changed to Highway and highway are now part of the LV= group.

My first policy was with Hermes and I had Pegasus my second year. Lol

Aviva through the Broker market definitely do temp additions, I've been with Aviva (and General Accident prior to being bought out by Aviva) for at least 15 years. Lol.

wurlycorner wrote:Shiny, I find very few insurers do temporary additional vehicles these days. That always used to be my route too, but it sucks these days.

Tempcover and sky do short term (incl. one day) policies.
Most insurers will still cover temporary additions if you own the car. It is just the cheap online jobbies that are usually restrictive as they are automated with no human intervention.
Just to update on this one;
Tried to add the white lude as a temporary additional vehicle onto my Admiral multicar policy and... They said wouldn't add it because I DO OWN the car :roll: if it was someone else's they'd do it :evil:

Admiral are penises.

I've had to phone three times to tell them that I don't want my policy to auto renew because although you do all sorts with your policy online, you can't do that... Obviously so you have to speak to someone and they try keep you.

The classic "you should have told us your other quotes, we could've matched them"... They don't know what to say to "that's why I'm leaving, you don't want to give me your best offer first time around, you want me to run around for it first".

Oh I know, but it is cheeky IMO.

If you can do better and actually want to give the best deal, offer it first time. Save everyone a load of hassle :lol: I'd rather they couldn't do better tbh, better than being taken for a mug.

That and Admiral want an extra 200 for me to be able to drive other cars third party on my policy. Apparently being a full time student means I have to pay for that privilege. :?
