Cheap one day car insurance ???

Post by NafemanNathan » Sat Mar 22, 2014 8:36 pm

Anyone know any good cheap one day car insurance places. I hadn't thought about it until now, but I can't use my 9 years no claims to insure the 5th gen as it's currently still in use on my 3rd gen policy.

So I was thinking of simply insuring the 5th gen just for tomorrow to bring it back. I've got a courtesy car for the rest of the time until this is all sorted out.

Cheers.

Ok cool. Already found them, along with a few others that use the same form and they all come out at £37.49, so I'll just think I'll go with them. Cheers :)

+1 on this. When I was 21 it cost me about £30 for a days cover on my BB4 to get it home. I thought considering my age and the car, that was fairly reasonable for the sake of getting the car home :)

Ahhh it won't recognise the reg! I know it's the right one as it's worked on the regular insurance comparison sites!

I've found another where I can input it all manually, but it's £50.74...

Insurance Premium £37.90
Uninsured Loss Recovery/Motor Legal Expenses £2.00
Breakdown Cover £2.50
Insurance Premium Tax £2.54
Administration Fee £5.80

I've just gone for it. I recon the other would have added all those extras on anyway, and I opted for the breakdown cover... I always get nervous buying new cars

Have you found out the cost to add it to one of your existing policies for a day as a "temporary additional vehicle"?

This would be the first route I take and then try the day insure type sites.

You will need to SORN it when you have it back to avoid problems under CIE.

You know you can insure a car fully then just cancel it within 14 days and it'll only cost you £25?
236bhp and 170ft/lb stock
