Honda Legend Now £250

Post by Dino » Mon Mar 17, 2014 9:30 pm

Honda Legend 3.5V6 (automatic)
Year: 1996 P registration
Tax: End of April 2014
MOT: September 2014
Mileage: Approx 160,000 miles

Im selling my Honda Legend, I bought this in September from Richie at Performance Autoworks as a winter car.

I am putting my Integra back on the road at the end of the month so need this gone by the end of the month.

Ive had the car for nearly 6 months now and has been trouble free monitoring.

I changed the oil in December with Castrol Magnatec 10w-40, fitted a new oil filter and fuel filter.

I will miss the car as she has really grown on me and is pretty famous amongst my work colleagues and makes. :D

The car eats the miles up nicely, is bit of a luxo barge and damn comfortable for covering any distance.

Spec includes:
Full leather interior
Heated front seats
Electric front seats,
Heated/Electric door mirrors
Full electric windows and sunroof
6Disc multi-changer/radio & cassette (Retro 8-) )
Cruise control

The car has cost me nothing to maintain and should provide trouble free motoring for the near future.

The car is no minter but is in full working order and is good to drive.
The auto box changes and holds gears as it should and the engine is smooth and revs freely withno untoward noises.
The engine doesn't use any coolant or oil
Brakes and tyres all have plenty of life left in them.

Please remember this is a £300 car for a reason If you can see past the superficial items then she is a lot of car for the money.

So here goes the snag list :D

All these were on the car when I bough it 6 months ago and have provided no issues
The paint work is peppered in dimples from meteor sized hail storm....I call it the leopard effect
The rear drivers door doesn't open at all due to a lorry turning and catching the rear quarter panel and door..
Front bumper has a large dent/scuff
Nearside rear bumper has a scuff and a cracked rear light
The near side driveshaft is clicky in noise when turning, but the noise has not gotten any worse since I bought it in September
At 2000 rpm the exhaust vibrates on the sub-frame (Just needs the exhaust hangers adjusting)
Air-con not working
Odometer (mileage counter) does not light up.

Otherwise the car is an absolute minter

If anyone is looking for 6 months of cheap motoring, then its a good motor.
If it doesn't sell by the end of the month, then she will just get the Calipers taken off, i'll sell them and get the scrap value for the car giving me the £300 I want.

So no negotian on price sorry.

Location Monmouth, South Wales.

If interested please give me a shout, will be sad to see it go as its really grown on me.
Price £300 No offers

I like these. Preferred the look pre-facelift though 8-)

A lot of car for the money!

I have the previous shape, and they are great cars.
Such a shame to see how little these cars are worth nowadays

I thought the earlier models looked very much like a skyline.

Nice cars. With Honda reliability.

F**king ace car this! !!
I ran around in this for two years before getting an even bigger barge. ...absolutely sublime mile muncher and one of the least costly cars I have ever owned.
Yeah it's bumped and bruised but boy does that make people think twice about arguing road space with you lol

If I didn't need the space of the current Panzerwagon I'd be tempted to have it back :-D

Out of interest Dino, what sort of fuel economy have you been getting out of this?
