Brake set up choice.

Hi there :)

I'm upgrading my 2.0l with H22 calipers, my question is about the use of the car.

I use it to go to work 1/3 week, and I kick the sh*t out of it once or twice a week anyway on little roads.

I'm looking for a disk/pads combo that doesn't take to long to be efficient and don't overheat.
I've heard OEM Brembo + DS2500 are compatibles with my needs. Does it worths to put RBF600 on the circuit and some breded brake lines ?

In my opinion brakes have to be as good as possible. It's your safety and it doesn't metter how you are using your car.

My car is a daily as well. I'm running rfb600, goodridge braided lines with stainless steel fittings, ABE 290mm rear discs, black diamond 300mm front discs and ATR calipers. And I'm looking for further upgrades, but prices are killing me

The standards calipers are more than enough for most Ludes. I have ran my track car with the below set up for the last 3 years and it has been plenty.

Blank discs (Honda, EBC, Delphi, Brembo), Ferodo DS2500 or Hawk HP+ brake pads, braided lines, Castrol React Performance Dot 4 or Motul RBF 600 and the job is done.

Personally I would only put Motul RBF 600 in a track car, it needs replaced every year, only outperforms the Castrol React Performance Dot 4 by a tiny bit and costs more than double the Castrol React Performance Dot 4.

Thanks for the tip about Castrol fluid Merlin ! ;)

I forget to say I'm looking for something really close to the stock look, so as you say I'm planing on choosing blank disks. Did you heard about problems with braided brake lines ? A french guy blow up one on the Nurb and it appears it's not the first time it happens.
K30PDC : What about noises with DS2500 pads? Your set up is sick 0_0 what caliper are you runing on the rear ?

I have never had a problem with either HEL or Goodridge lines. You will always get scare stories about any aftermarket product IMO.

I'm not using DS2500. Front ones come with discs as a set. Rears are EBC green stuff. I didn't notice any noise issues. My exhaust is loud enough :lol: :lol:
Stock caliper on the rear with some adapters. You can check it in my galery
