Rear Top Mount Rattle

Looking for some advice on how to cure the top mount rattle I have on my 5th. My cars running Tein coilovers, all fine and checked so definitely not the suspension unit knocking.

When I first got the car I mentioned this problem on FB and someone pointed me in the direction of the washer fix, problem is, that can't be done on the Tein top mounts as they are different to OEM.

Any ideas how I can damper them in a different way? Or if anyone knows if OEM top mounts would fit on my Teins? Then I could do the washer fix etc.

The rattle is driving me mad haha.

Yes OEM top mounts will fit Teins. I have OEM top mounts on my Tein Basics. Do you have pillow ball top mounts?

Are you 100% sure it is coming from the strut? Could it be anti roll bar rattle?

I'll double check on what top mounts I have. My mechanic friend seems to think it's the top mount 'rattle'. How can I check if it's the anti-roll bar? Will it just be lose, rubbers be perished etc?

Lie on the ground and give the bar a good shake at different places. If it is the ARB there will be play either where the mounts bolt to the chassis or at the drop links near at the wheel hub, or both.

Double checked and they aren't pillow ball mounts. They are solid and definitely isn't the anti-roll bar.

So OEM top mounts it is then?

What mounts do you have if they aren't either the pillow ball or OEM? Take a pic of one of them

They are just the top mounts that came with the Teins I imagine, solid top mounts. I'll go and take a picture in a minute.

Can't find in the folder of receipts for the car what actual model they are. I can double check with my mate who I bought it from though if need be. Here's a couple of pictures:

THE RATTLE IS NO MORE!!!!!!!!!

Bought some standard top mounts from someone on here, had them fitted today. Quiet as you like
