Sounds obvious but have you ensured that the wheel nuts are tightened up correctly? wheels will easily make some horrible noises if they are loose.

Does this noise happen going forward and backwards or just forward?

What is the condition of the drive shaft boots?

Check all the engine mounts, does the engine rock excessively when you rev it at rest? Put into 1st gear and slip the clutch whilst getting someone to look at the engine bay, anything obviously wrong?

I have had my friend look at the engine whilst I got the engine to rock n it does move a bit but not excessively. All wheels a torqued up properly. But that's wat the noise is like. My shaft has a little movement n got a bit of a rattle but bin assured its normal to move a tiny bit. There's a bit of a rip on the inner cv boot and u can see where the grease has gone up the fire wall.but I've had cv joints go before and that's more of a clicking. This is a clunking. Could the inner joint cause a clunking? Cheers for the help guys. Keep it coming lol

Right il just get a shaft aswel as there cheap enough. Can sny1 tell me which 1 I need? Will an auto 1 fit or a 5th gen 1? Or a 2.0? Or does it need to be a manual 2.2 4th gen? Cheers

Sounds like you need a doctor, not a mechanic.
