Like Macjy says, you can tak it apart, hace a look on PreludePower, Yanks defo stript them and there should a step by step write-up how to take it apart and put it back together.
ludes are ment to be driven, not wanking around on a stand like a Civic.

Yep, had lots of these apart
It can be simple, or as said it can be stripped teeth.
Sometimes you can reposition the wheel/cog in question so that only the good teeth are used, but you'll have to see if that's viable when you get it all apart.
From memory:
Door card off
Three bolts to take mirror off
Pop mirror off carefully
Undo revealed bolts (self explanatory really)
The mech box comes apart in two halves, just be careful due to all the bits, but it's not rocket science if you're fairly mechanically minded.
This is on a 4th gen BTW.

Yep that worked, thought the cogs were cream crackered but all ok now.macky_6 wrote:Yeah, you can dismantle the whole thing but its a pain in the ass, doorcard off job.
Try spraying WD40 into the base of the mirror and folding/unfolding a few times. Usually does the trick for mine. If not, spray some more
