I tried everything with mine, bigger bar just trashed the bush, hitting it with the nut just stripped the nut thread and bent the metal sides. I soaked it for weeks in wd40 aswell.
The only thing that worked was a drill but it's quality metal so takes a few bits to get through.

Same here. Angle grinder in between the bush and the subframe.LewisH wrote:I used my trusted friend grinder. Only way they were moving.
IMO it is not good practice to reuse these kind of nuts and bolts you only end up having to replace them. When I did my suspension I saved a load of nuts and bolts but was forced to replace them when they didnt do their job properly any longer.

Yeah, the way I look at it is if it was difficult to get off then why put it back on there ready to be trouble again next time?! And if it was easy to remove, count your blessings and replace it anyway so it's got the best chance of being trouble free again next time.Merlin wrote:IMO it is not good practice to reuse these kind of nuts and bolts you only end up having to replace them. I've been trying to practice this on my Preludes over the last couple of months, time will tell if buying new fasteners has paid off

Tell me about it, just bought them. Over £60 to do both sides!
