I was impressed toowurlycorner wrote: Well done, they look great actually. Impressed about them matching the mounting brackets

Small update - the hub nut on the drive shaft I need to re-boot won't budge, even with 13 stone of me stood on the end of a 2 foot bar! So I have left this for last

Also, I don't know if it's just me but my brakes feel sharper

Re: 3rd Gen Accord
I have no impact gun though
aren't they pretty expensive too?
*edit
Maybe I'll ring the body shop and see if they can crack it off for me

Time is the only problem - Monday is the deadline for getting everything fixedNafemanNathan wrote:Nor do I. I've always borrowed the neighbours
Plenty of bargains to be had on ebay though

Anyway, I picked up the Accord from the body shop today

So that just leaves me needing a tyre and to replace a CV boot. I'll go get a tyre tomorrow, but I'm still stuck with this bloody hub nut. I'm off with my mate in his van tomorrow as he reckons they've got some big arse pipes out back at his work that we can grab. Let's see if I can't snap my breaker bar

Re: 3rd Gen Accord
Cheers matey! I have indeed been a busy boy recently
fitting the Accord's repairs around work hasn't been easy but I'm almost there now.
Earlier today I got a new tyre fitted so that's that sorted. I've also had a successful nut busting session - I didn't use leverage in the end, I used reverse psychology
I tried to tighten the nut rather than loosen it. This fooled it into a false sense of security, thinking that it had won and that I had resigned to leaving it on. Then I took it by surprise and twisted it back the other way which broke it loose
So tomorrow I'll whip the driveshaft out, stick a new boot on and then stick it all back together. Should be simple enough I hope
