I would argue that would is more appropriate than will, since would is more polite and used in a more hypothetical sense whereas will implies there is definitely an acceptable lower price than the one listed. But then again this isn't checkyogrammar.com. Also if you're going to get picky you missed an apostrophe and the y shouldn't be capitalised.bb1boy wrote:Your?? You'll*?tizzy wrote:whats the lowest your take?

No, I'm not getting picky, but my capitalisation was fine as they were both one word questions. If anything, you should have queried my superfluous second question mark after the 'Your?'
Which apostrophe did I miss?
...and now that you mention it, in this instance, 'would' is the past tense of 'will' so means the same thing. I think the difference is down to regional dialect rather than politeness.
Anyway, as you rightly said, this isn't checkyogrammar.com, so lets leave it here (after you've told me which apostrophe I ommitted, because that is unlike me).

Nice try.
Okay, the apostrophe missing is (or isn't
) in the post you so politely decided to correct. If you're going to go to the effort of correcting someone's grammar, at least correct all of it.
The extra question mark I just assumed was a stylistic variation, perhaps to emphasise your confusion.
Assuming your asterisk is indicating the desired correction, then your correction when placed in the quoted sentence is wrong. Also to be ultra technical, you really should put the asterisk before the word, putting it afterwards implies there will be a footnote. I have to admit I don't think I follow that rule often but since you were being a bit of a prat correcting someone, then tried to correct someone else incorrectly, I thought it was worth mentioning.
I know what tenses are and no, would and will do not mean the same thing.
And finally, no, it isn't down to regional dialect. There is a difference in level of politeness, unless we assume your regional dialect is uninformed nonsense.
You can PM me if you want to learn more/exchange further handbag blows.
PS. Omitted is one m.

hahahaha @Donald you knob, forget your pm's, this will end it. I wasn't correcting anyone, I wasn't being a grammar nazi or a prat as you so kindly put it. I was asking if the OP meant to put your or you'll because it didn't make sense! Get off your high horse.
...and if correcting grammar nazi's is your thing, go and play somewhere more appropriate, this is a friendly Prelude owners forum.
