Good to hear the welding's getting done properly :)

I expect the braided hoses work out cheaper than an OEM equivalent all round as well... And you might as well replace all of them now ;-)

Yeah OEM equivalent rubber hoses were at least twice the cost of the braided equivalent :o So it's a no brainer, but it does require you to be confident of your measurements :?

I'll get a set of rears made up towards the end of the month :) Apparently the hoses are suitable for petrol as well, so I plan to get a new fuel filter and some nice new hoses made up for the bay too 8-)

I'm a little bit excited about getting all this done, even though it's nothing major really :D

I was quoted 600 quid do do both rear arches on mine, excluding filling, flatting and painting!!! 200 sounds good value, and proper job done

Yeah, no idea how good a job it'll be as I paid about £100 for a plate previously elsewhere  got to be better than a plate at least

Agreed, where did you get your braided hoses from in the end

got them online at customhoses.co.uk - nowhere local was open over the weekend so I didn't have a choice in the end. I usually prefer to support local businesses though, as it's nice to be able to chat to somebody knowledgeable over the counter. FWIW the website I used were helpful over email though, so no drama there. I just hope my measurements were up to scratch, it'll be just my luck that I screwed it up somehow

good for you, hence my original scenario about using local suppliers, but understand the timeframe issue, hope all goes well.

My new hoses turned up today :) I love it when I get shiny car parts in the post!

So I braved the weather and got them fitted this eve. Excuse the dirty arches

My first 'performance' mod on the Accord  if you can call it that :P

I bled the brakes with Laura but it's apparent that my bodged piece of hose wasn't up to the job, as my brakes are still a tad spongy. So tomorrow I shall rob my dad of his bleeding kit and sort the brakes properly.

After that it's CV boot time. Bring on the grease!!
