wheel width. How is it measured?

Post by RattyMcClelland » Sat Jan 11, 2014 5:15 pm

Boys....I'm confused and not just sexually.
My wheels I'm refurbing are 17x8.
I pulled it out along with a tape measure and measured it.
Too my amazement it was actually 8.9". Also my wheels are 8.9" wide too.

So what gives? I take it they are not measured edge to edge.

Area where you should measure them is where tyre is fitted, from wall to wall in side of the wheels, Im on the phone now but will find a photo on my Pc later and show you.
