On the subject of what they do though, I understand it's all about keeping the suspension aligned whilst cornering?? I seem to recall somebody put a nice diagram of it up at some point, but I think the thing to take away is it reduces the flexing in the body by bracing the big gappy bit between the strut mounting points which would otherwise allow the mounting points to move slightly in relation to each other and presumably in turn slightly alter the suspension geometry

Plus they look the shiznit

The brace is just stopping the chassis from flexing basically, and seeing as your struts are mounted to the chassis at one end it reduces unwanted movement in them too as a result. I should add this is just my basic understanding, I in no way profess to be an expert

if you pootle round at 10mph you wont ever need one if you cant feel it at anything over that then your numb from the neck down
I could feel the difference straight away

Agree with merc.
It's not just about stiffening the chassis up though, all of these sort of mods (braces, polybushes etc) help to isolate the suspension itself, thereby allowing it to do it's job better and also giving you greater control of your setup (if you have coliovers or similar.)
