5th Gen Rear Discs

Post by Donald » Tue Jan 07, 2014 1:37 am

Another boring topic ;)

Anyway, MOT coming up and I know for sure I need rear discs. eurocarparts are out of stock for rear discs for the 5G (2.2) and I'm jobby at looking for this stuff. eBay keeps giving me 4G discs, stuff I've never heard of or things that are way too expensive. :?

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Not after anything fancy at all, just something that will work but not break the bank.

If it helps this is typical of what I'm finding:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REAR-Ferodo-B ... 43b1ff1517

Listed as Ferodo for the 5G 2.2, yet the description says they're 4 stud but are actually Mintex discs and the diagram shows 5 stud.

I have used auto performance direct aswell before they didnt have discs and pads I was after at the time so offered me alternative at the same price. Would recommend them, you can ring them and speak to someone over phone if wanted discuss options and also have ebay shop

You can order direct from mtec (checked there?) and have you looked on brakes international?

I did look at mtec but they only had drilled and grooved stuff on their website. Completely forgot about brakes international actually! I think post-whiskey/whisky/whatever wasn't a good time to look for this stuff. I feel so ill this morning

rear discs for the 5g seem to be hard to find,

I've had probs before, went with some black diamond grooved in the end

You can order MTEC brakes in what ever style you want, non grooved/drilled was an option when I ordered mine from them.

Yep, if you contact them they'll even do custom drilling etc.

Can't find them anywhere, plenty of 4G and 5G 2.0 ones. Ages ago I did find some for the 8G Accord CDTi thinking they would fit as the diameter, thickness, centre and stud pattern were the same, but looking at the diagram there are some other measurements that don't seem to quite match up: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270930396787? ... 1436.l2649
