because you have taken the thread off the end of the cv joint i wouldnt put a nut back on that

I agree. That's now fecked. You can get non gen cv joints quite cheap. IMO all non gen joints are rubbish but they would get you by for the mean time. Have you done that to both sides??

. So in short, u will need new cv joints, they come with new nuts.

Cheers Chris. We do have some spare driveshafts in Dbo's garage, which I will be needing for my conversion - but only the gearbox end.

So it would seem that we can rob the cv joints off those. Happy days.

But just to be safe, are you in a position to check out prices & lead times on the joints & nuts?

I can find out about the nuts for you chap but honda don't supply joints as an item. They make you buy a whole shaft

. If you want new joints then that's a factors job I'm afraid. U would be better off using the spare joints with new nuts

Just to clarify, going from what you've said Andy, you do realise the driveshafts are fine and it's actually the CV joint that separates from the driveshaft that needs replacing?...
