£450 for a photo

Post by Donald » Fri Dec 06, 2013 7:20 pm

Lol.

http://www.nottinghampost.com/Warning-s ... story.html

Basically some idiot paid £450 for what he thought was an Xbone and actually got a photo of it instead. I would be sympathetic but...
Despite the listing stating it was a photo of an XBox One Day One edition console, Mr Clatworthy said he'd expected to receive the console as it was listed in the video games and consoles category on eBay.

He said: "It said 'photo' and I was in two minds, but I looked at the description and the fact it was in the right category made me think it was genuine.
What a gentleman's sausage  apparently eBay told him he should get his money back through PayPal, IMO they should tell him to get drokked since the listing explicitly said it was a photo and the seller should enjoy the 450 quid they made off this mug. Also it seems this isn't the first time he's done something scoring high on the Gump scale.
The 19-year-old student, of Bilborough, had saved up in order to buy a limited edition Day One version of the console as a surprise Christmas present for his four-year-old son, McKenzie.

Plus what 4 year old needs a next gen console? Spend 450 on something educational ffs

drokking quality.

A similar thing happened last time round with the Xbox 360, people were listing eBay adverts and for the advert title they were putting 'Xbox box'. People thought it was just a typo and were paying £340 and they just received an empty Xbox box in the post.

this has happened so many times on ebay.

IMO you're a frigging idiot if you don't read the listing properly...there are plenty of scumbags out there that make their money from ripping people off.

On the flipside...if you're stupid enough to fall for it then you deserve it you dumb fwok!

I suspect educational items might be a bit too confusing for Mr Clatworthy, supposed "student".
I wholeheartedly disagree with ebay on this one, the advert was not misleading.
