5th gen boot light wanted.

in my wife's 4th gen the boot light is very poor. it uses a 28mm old style festoon bulb. so i would like to change it with a holder from the 5th gen. it uses the same size holder with the same connector as the 4th but has better bulb options.

You can get LED festoon bulbs. Have you tried one of those in the existing holder?

I did this too. I measured the length and girth (

) of the wanky old yellow bulb in the boot of my Accord. Then I bought a 16 SMD festoon bulb from china which cost bugger all. Works great, the boot is mega bright now

thanks very much @cebul. it arrived in the post today. still waiting for the led 501 bulb to turn up from ebay.
