Ummm...

So there's a lot to suggest this is abomination of another car, but then there's a lot to suggest this is in fact a Honda! And with that engine orientation it looks to be RWD

It's possibly a Honda Vigor, last made in 1994, or a 1996 Acura TL/Honda Inspire/Honda Saber. If it's the latter, I think it should have a 2.5 litre engine.
Either way, it's FWD, with the gearbox behind the engine and a drive shaft running forward to an LSD and half shafts.
If in good nick, it's probably worth the asking price.

Seems weird to see a Honda engine rotated 90 degrees and not be RWD.

It is indeed a Inspire.
Came with either a 2.0 5 pot, 2.5 5 pot, or the 3.2 V6, all front wheel drive.

I did a bit of research on these as I quite like them, and was toying with buying one.

Were these built by Honda for the European market, or perhaps Australasia/ Far East

I've seen them for sale in japan, they weren't available in the UK afaik. We only get a small proportion of the models available on the Japanese market.
