so I could use Vectra b track rod ends?? what about the tie rods??

Yep, I've bought vectra B ones for Lisa's 4th gen (due to knackered boots) and compared them next to each other and they look identical. I haven't actually fitted them though and that won't be happening for a while yet...

If someone like @thebusofwoe could maybe pull the used ends off their spare rear rack and pop one in the post to me, I could measure and compare them to be 100% sure?

No need, the ones fitted to the rear of my 4th are testament to them fitting ok.

are we all 100% sure that 4th and 5th gens are the same???
if so ill go 4 Vectra ones if someone could find me a link.

theres loads of play in the ones atm. I had it pre mot'd n they said rear tie rods n track rod ends.

The internal and external thread diameter and pitch is identical. The dimensions of the Vectra B track rod end are slightly different from the Prelude one, being a little taller and 5mm shorter to the centre of the joint, although I didn't notice if they screw in any further on the inner track rods. The other main difference is the Honda track rod end has holes drilled in the external thread for the cotter pin to go through, whereas the Vectra B unit uses a Nylock nut instead. I have taken measurements and side by side pictures I will post when I get around to it.

Overall they fit very well, have caused me no problems and being just under £5 each makes the Honda track rod ends about 18 times the price in the UK!?!
