Well been trying to sort out thermostat latley so after buying a new one ive found its been leaking like mad an have tried refitting it over an over so have brought some blue gasket sealent an a a4 of universal gasket an made my own gasket which at last has worked an no more leaks. Still heater is not great but its better then it was . Also mrs brought me reversing sensors for my birthday so installed them today an they work a treat , will post pictures 2morr .

Re: Paul72 4th gen

But strange... The thermostats only use a rubber seal by original design and that works well. Just checking, you did refit that, right? And did it come with a new seal, or re-use the old one?

The thermostat did come with a new rubber around it but it was a really small thin one so i used old one which was alot bigger but i think problem was because i cleaned housing as it was so rough faces an after that water was coming thru
