They're looking at a total loss, write-off. They're reckoning on £2500 of damage. Personally I think it's extracting the urine a tad! I wonder what category this will be ?! :(

I only had a bumper scratch and a tiny dent in the bonnet and it was a write off.. Was hoping they were going to let you off.

2nd hand wing and door - Maybe £100-150
Respray the bumper wing and door - £720 inc VAT "ISH"

But this doesnt not take into account the rear quarter panel. Maybe add another £200-300 onto the paint repair.

£2500

Remember, they will only use original parts. When i took my 172 cup clio in after our accident, they wouldnt let me even consider 2nd hand parts. Only original from manafacturer, so that price sounds around right from Honda's prices

Original 2nd hand parts. :D

If anyone ever hits my Type S then my insurance and any other are going to HAVE to let me sort the damage myself and pay me to fit it. I wont trust anyone else and it will still be far cheaper for me and them.

If i done what you did for a living Ratty, id be the same bud. They didnt write off my 172, even though the front bumper / wing / headlight was £1800's worth of damage.

Waiting on the final assessment, but, rest assured...I'll be pushing for Cat D. A friend of a friend owns a sprayshop, so I'm still hopefull on a good outcome ;)
