Hi everyone need help with where to put my alloys,
There staggered set 16x7 n 16x8.
At the minute I have the 7" wide at the front n 8s at the bk, but isn't that the broken suspension look way?
I've asked 3 friends and 2 of em said the 8's should be up front with it being fwd n the other said 8s at the bk to compensate the understeer.
Want my car to perform well not look good, can any body help
Thanks
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

RWD cars have wider wheels at the back for better traction, so if you apply that rule to FWD cars in theory you should have wider tyres at the front. But because the front wheels also cater for the steering, going too wide at the front can hinder the car's handling, so you never want to go too wide at the front. Also unless on a drag car wider wheels at the front does look daft
There's not much difference in the width of your wheels though so I'd just stick the 7's at the front and the 8's at the back. Your main concern should be rubbing issues and obviously you're more likely to have rubbing issues at the front of the car as the wheels turn (steering wise), so the narrower wheel should hopefully cause you less worries in that department.
