So im gonna attempt my first oil change tomorrow, and i have heard its good practice to replace the washer on the drain plug.
Anyone know what size it is and if its nylon or metal? as i would rather get one for pennies at b and q then pounds at honda!
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Be very careful with these, I had a magentic one in the Pulsar and went to torque it up, ened up ripping the bolt from the threads..................rob quilter wrote:Grab a magnetic one from us:
To be fair I don't know what make it was and where the previous owner bought it from or indeed if there was a max torque you should put them to. I didn't torque it that much though.
If it is a two piece (thread seperate from the magnet then be careful as the thread part may be a thin piece of metal......)
P.S Not trying to kill as sale here just a friendly warning about these type of sump plugs

A local company makes ours, we've sold loads and never had an issue.BMCC wrote:Be very careful with these, I had a magentic one in the Pulsar and went to torque it up, ened up ripping the bolt from the threads..................rob quilter wrote:Grab a magnetic one from us:
