Engine will crank over but there is no spark, so went and got a new dizzy cap and rotor.
Took the old dizzy cap off and was met with this

Any suggestions to what may have caused this?

Sorry mate, I read it as you'd got a whole new distributor, not just a cap and rotor. Yeah, it could be the coil, as it's built into the dizzy itself. Let us know if you're getting a spark with the new cap and rotor.riley wrote:have fitted the new cap and rotor, whats best way to check coil?
