Post by Mudgey » Mon Oct 14, 2013 12:53 pm
Hello,
In need of a JDM 5th gen rear bumper. Are there any differences between the Type S and other JDM 5th gen rear bumpers?
The bodyshop are ordering one from Honda but they have no idea how long it is going to take.

No the rear bumpers are totally different. The jdm one has its number plate recess as part of the bumper and the UK bumper has this section cut out and a longer recess inserted into the bumper

Same as me mate. I bought a second hand JDM rear bumper and had it sprayed up to match mu UK 5G. That gets rid of the horrible fog light and the hideous excuse for a number plate holder that the UK bumpers has. Relocated the rear fog into one of the reverse lightshonda-hardy wrote:My type s has a UK bumper fitted when the car was imported. I am currently getting my second hand jdm one painted.

OP that must be costing a fortune to order from Honda, have a look about on eBay etc. I picked mine up for £30 collected, although that was a ridiculously good deal!
