Anyone near Leyland, Lancashire?

Hi folks,

Just wondering of I can be cheeky and put a request out for somebody to check out a car for me?

there's a Civic VEi that I'm considering buying, but Lancashire is a long way from Sussex and I have a couple of things that need checking first hand on the car... If anyone could take a peek at the car on Friday for me then that'd be amazing

I cant get to it Friday and I live about 60 mile away I think there is someone who lives closer

no worries matey, there's cars locally that'd be suitable if not, it's just an EG shape Civic with the D15Z1 motor would be a great buy at the minute. The ad states an engine code for the lambda sensor is showing and the engine is noisey though, I'd hate to get up there and find it stalls at idle when warm and the bottom end is shagged, those are my worries. Otherwise it looks a sensible motor if it's just a noisy top end and early stages of the lambda failing - I could just get the valve clearances done and a new sensor next month or something then.

Although I just checked eBay this minute and a car I was outbid on has suddenly dropped in price and I'm now the high bidder

My girlfriend has also just stropped out the room and up to bed, she's spent all evening looking at hatchbacks bless her

The car I was bidding on got pulled by eBay so I'm quite interested in this EG again. I'm on the border of taking the plunge and just buying a train ticket
