Right lads
Put £40 @£1.32 in the car which came out at 30.30 Litres
Tripped the mileage thing
By the time the fuel gauge got back the position it was when I filled it I had covered 109 miles
Which I believe works out at 18.1 mpg some of it was even on a motorway to Glasgow and back

simple, fill the tank up all the way to the top, till you can see it in the nozzle. trip the meter, drive till nearly empty. and fill up again till the fuel is in the nozzle again. that is the best and simplest. then go onto torque cars uk mpg converter. type in the fuel used and miles driven. hey presto.

Not started another test yet but.....
Put £40 of ultimate in the car and still have a 3rd of the tank and its done 131miles
Could that be the issue because I've been using standard 95 ??

Being that it is an import should should be using a minimum of 97RON fuel. The only real way to tell is by doing as suggested, full it up to the brim and reset your mileage counter, use the tank of fuel and refill to the same level. It is too inaccurate to do it any other way.

Not done anymore mpg test yet but finally sorted the bonnet wobble...the carbon Kevlar bonnet used to jump about like mad on the motorway but spent this afternoon fitting some bonnet pins
The bonnet will not wobble any longer... Time for a motorway drive I think

Bit of bad news....the lude took a whack from an articulated lorry on a roundabout......back drivers side quarter panels quite dented and the lights smashed and paint all cracked.
