little bit done today. replaced the osf headlight with another that has no broken brackets that let in water causing it to fog up. also removed the front lip ready for paint.
the car is looking sad at the moment, no front lip. no spoiler, insulation tape on the boot to block up holes. and bloody filthy.
VTEC solenoid cover on though.

Remove that crankcase breather NOW.
Its doing more harm than good.

Yer good.
PCV is POSITIVE crank ventilation not negative. Air gets pushed into the left hose on the valve cover via positive pressure from the air intake tubing made by negative pressure from the engine. Negative gets sucked and no negative pressure is produced from this valve into the engine so it cannot suck air through a crank case breather.

spoiler prep
Post by honda-hardy » Sun Oct 13, 2013 8:32 pm
hi all, after fitting the brake light into the spoiler, prepping the rear bumper by filling holes by plastic welding, i felt i got to a point where my skills ended, i have passed the spoiler, rear bumper, rear jobby lip, rear mugen rep spats and jdm front lip to Brian my bodywork guy and work colleague.
so here is a little teaser. basically i asked him to give the mugen spoiler a modern more up to date individual twist.
before.

and now, a more chizzled angled look.

Rocker cover looks great Sam, will be doing the same to mine in a few weeks once I've finished sorting lots of other maintenance and cosmetic bits first. I know a few of the guys used some grease or vaseline (ooh err) on the lettering after it was sanded so it was easy to wipe the paint away later.
Thanks for the info on the crankcase 'breather' @RattyMcClelland, I've had the same since I've owned my car, with an aftermarket BMC Cold-Air Intake and blanked vacuum hose so might look into this.
