Nobs selling wheels

Post by NafemanNathan » Mon Sep 16, 2013 11:04 pm

Why do so many people selling wheels either not include the width or the offset, or sometimes even the diameter?! And if selling wheels with tyres fitted not even include the size or brand?! And then when there's damage mentioned, not include a frikin picture of said damage!!! :x

You don't even need to know much about wheels! Offset I can forgive, but the rest is just common sense surely!

I still can't get over WheelWhores's classified ads. It's a god damn forum that specialises in wheels, yet they can't even make filling out all the necessary wheel/tyre specs compulsory, and bolt pattern is one of the most critical specifications, yet there's not even an option to fine search it!!!

At least DriftWorks are finally trying to crack down on it.

I imagine its because most sellers have no idea about offsets etc....

Lets me honest if someone can put an ad up on a forum or list some wheels on ebay, pretty sure they can throw some words in google to explain measuring offset and width. But they don't bother. Just lazy. Do they actually want to sell the wheels or not?

As for listing tyre brands, sizes and tread depth too...no excuses.

Why are you selling your gentleman's sausage ring? Surely Lisa will miss it.

That's why I said I can forgive that one, but being all the other dimensions matter when it comes to whether they're going to fit another persons car properly or not means it's purely down to common sense and/or laziness at the end of the day.

And if you're on a forum such as WheelWhores... You should know :nono:
