@sailor: we know but once you have mastered 'fast' you need to master 'style'. Thats what sideways is all about

@a1ex: lots of overconfidence there i see. I would advise going on a drift day before you think about popping a roundabout...
we can swap cars and you can feel some torque if you like. I know that might be scary at first but you will be ok    :P :P :P :P :P

I have the horrible feeling that is going to stick  lol

There are two roundabout on my way home from work in the sticks where I turn right at each and I try a little, not so much dropping the clutch and flooring it because they are surrounded by big kerbs, but more but feeding more power in till the back starts to break loose. It's fun but I am nowhere near being able to control a proper slide.
I had to go into a large industrial estate in the rain last week and tried to have a little play, I span once and the others weren't even worth mentioning. It's a fine line and I am hopeless at it lol I can do donuts, but that doesn't count lol

@LLL, I wouldn't say over confident there's jobby loads of wide quite round abouts by me :-)

I know about going sideways from games and skid pans but not in the real world. want to be sure that when the tail steps out I can get it back, didn't buy the car for drifting but I did want RWD as I'm finding fast FWD a bit dull now.

So I've been playing a little, just easing the throttle in on tighter corners in 2nd with room to the outside and no cars around. The idea being I can find the limits so they don't catch me out as inevitably when driving fast the tails going to come out from time to time.

Oh just a note on a slightly different topic, get it booked in for full wheel alignment, they suffer quite bad when it's slightly out. A lot of s2k owners get it done yearly

good man. rwd is great fun for sure. I kinda found the same and wanted a new challenge. rwd is that

I'v not given to active loss of traction whilst moving on a public highway so far. mainly because I think i am a little too aware of all the other road users and my inexperience, also the grip on the 225 avons is quite severe and it takes a lot of nudging to get it out. I am given to a nice little burnout start from junctions and donuts in my field out the back but not had chance to spank it round here. The OB are pretty hot on patrols :?

otherwise its on a friends workplace carpark when its raining or drift days.

The grip driving is much more rewarding when you get it right. 10mins round the nurburgring told me that
