So Josh Brolin (who should be frikkin BATMAN not that ponce Afflek) is staring in the remake of the classic film 'Oldboy'.

I cant wait for this. i really want to see how they deal with the hallway hammer scene and the general story from a more western prespective. Obviously the reasons the main character in the original film does what he does is based on cultural acceptabilities that we wouldn't give a drokk about in the west so i wonder...... Will he chop it out? or will he give a drokk?

twas part of a trio of films on the theme of revenge. classic cult styles.

Guy is just taken from the street and locked up in a room for 15 years then let out but doesn't know what the drokk why. has to go find out for himself and the answer is a bitch.

@nath: you never know. the other two never got the same recognition. maybe a little too far away culturally for a western audience. Twould be good though.

Yes, seen oldboy - excellent film. Can't believe affleck is going to be Batman though. Seriously? He's a massive mincer!

And Batman vs Superman? Haven't read the comics, so maybe it makes sense to somebody. But a new concept to me. Will be interesting to see which way it goes though!
