Very nice! My first 'Lude was a 2.3 also, I decided on a 2.2 swap and on the way to buy the donor car my 2.3 blew up! Obviously it knew it was to be exiled so committed suicide beforehand.
Sweet heated mirror mod, I'd like to do that - I assume the mirror glass is the same shape then? I also want my mirrors to fold in and out with the central locking..
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

We didn't use the glass from the accord, as the mirror is slightly wider.
Just carefully peeled off the heated panel from the back, trimmed it down where possible (not cutting into any of the heater wires),and that left just a small part of one edge slightly proud.
Stuck it back onto the prelude glass and just tucked that one bit of an edge in.

Nice work. Nearly finished fitting electric folding mirrors to mine now - all the wiring done etc just got to swap the guts between the mirror shells now.
I'll give the heated option a miss for now (no doubt regret it as soon as the frost sets in though lol)

Re: T's 1992 BB2
So thought it was about time for an update on T's lude.
Finally got the mugen side skirts all repaired, and sprayed. But not yet fitted I need to make up some brackets to fit behind them.
The mirrors were resprayed at the same time as the paint was looking thin, and also had the front splitter sprayed so that it all ties in better once fitted. (and yes I know it's in need of a good clean at the minute.
)

It was also T's birthday last week, so finally decided to sort out her stereo and speakers as it was well overdue.
21 years had tended to turn the original speakers to this condition, gone brittle.

Thanks to all the help to get sorted with the right sizes, managed to find a couple of sets of speakers at a good price as they were being discontinued.
Also got a 2nd hand double din unit from amazon with a reversing camera for a great price.
So this is the kit I ended up with.

Seems a great piece of kit, and T is made up with it having finally been dragged into the 20th centuary.
Its got tuner, cd, dvd, garmin sat nav, full library on usb stick, reverse camera and more.

Now just need to sort the sub out. I had been looking for an original rear centre sub cover for a while now, but nothing ever seems to come up good enough at the right price.
So now thinking of just modding the rear seat piece that's already in there to look like it.
Then I've got an extra spare left over Bose subwoofer, after fitting the Bose system in the accord. So thinking of making up a bracket to attach it to the back of the rear seats, and using this with a small amp instead.

It came with one one of the built in number plate surround cameras. So I've just stuck that on for now.

Wow, just wow. Great job and smashing looking car. I love the amount of tlc that has gone into it.
that player unit looks very similar to the units fitted into some of the new Hondas. Great bit of kit. Well done so far
