I've been busy today
Rob kindly sent me the service manual the other night, so today I got stuck in to sorting the clutch out. I initially planned to drop the gearbox as per the manual, however, being written for Honda techs the procedure assumes you have a ramp - I imagine I could still drop the gearbox with the car on stands, but it sounds like a drokking ball ache. So I've revised my method of attack... I'm going to pull the whole engine and split the gearbox off outside of the car. This may sound like hassle too, but I have a crane and will get an engine stand this week so it shouldn't be too much trouble (touch wood

). The added bonus is that I can check over the engine (find out where it's pissing oil from) and it forces me to do the right thing and renew all the fluids rather than be lazy and leave them. Who knows, I might even degreaser the bay whilst I have the chance
Anyway, the clutch hasn't arrived yet so I'm not pulling the engine this weekend. However, I have removed everything necessary bar the engine mounts, drive shafts, gear shift linkage and the speed sensor. I'll disconnect the speed sensor, shift linkage and drive shafts tomorrow hopefully, although I've got a family thing to attend

then I can crack off the mounts and pull the engine next weekend.
Anyway I left it at this earlier
So I've slapped the bonnet back on and I'm just waiting for bits. After the clutch is done then I just need to sort the blowing flexi, and then it's MOT time
