Re: BrazierS' BB6 Prelude SiR
Bit of an update...
Picked up some Red JDM Mats for the Prelude as there were no mats present in the car when I bought it. Haven't arrived yet, but should hopefully be here early this week.
Also popped down the bodyshop end of last week.
Car is looking good! All rust has been cut out and fresh metal welded in. I bought a replacement door which is also being fitted by them. This week they're removing most of the parking dents for me and giving the welded panels fresh paint.
Hoping it should be done by the end of the week!
Once it's back, I'll be going over the existing original paintwork with a rotary to take it back to a nice shine and finish.
Then I can change the rear discs/pads and sort the handbrake out, then it can be MOT'd and Taxed...
...and the mods can begin...

Plan is to have it on the road 4th Sept. That's when my insurance renews, so rather than drokk about swapping cars, just gonna cancel my Civic's insurance then and start the Prelude's insurance.rob quilter wrote:Great news, should be on the road soon then.
Ordered OEM replacament discs and pads earlier for the rear, just need to fit them and sort the handbrake then it's ready for MOT.

Thanks mate.prelude_h22 wrote:Excellent base - you made good progress.
It should be back from the bodyshop today, I'll give them a ring later and see if it's ready yet or if it will be early next week.
New rear discs and pads turned up, so have them to fit when it's back.
Mats can go in.
Bought a DC2 Gear Gaiter with a round collar so I don't have the huge square thing currently on there. Can fit my Spoon Titanium Knob with the DC2 Gaiter

Slowly selliing bits from my EP3 too to fund the Prelude. Hopefully the car will sell within the next 4 weeks, and then I can order coilovers, get an exhaust sorted, get my wheels on, and then order a bus load of Spoon stuff from Japan

Re: BrazierS' BB6 Prelude SiR
Bit of a delay getting the 'lude back. Was meant to be back last Friday, but due to other jobs at the bodyshop, they had to delay.
Just had a phonecall and it will be back tomorrow!
Also bought a bus load of dress-up bolts for the engine bay to replace any old rusty ones.
In the meantime, here's some pics of my mats and my DC2 Gaiter.
