not newer no think of it this way bb1 top of the range bb4 poverty spec but can be specced up

Not doubting JDM-BB4 in the slightest, but out of curiosity, I don't recall seeing a BB1 (definitely) without a sunroof and (I don't think) without drivers side airbag?

I think the issue that confuses people is the UK/Jap thing.
The UK got ONE FLAVOUR of VTEC lude, and that's the BB1. It had ONE SPEC - 4WS, air con, sun roof, cruise etc etc (you know the drill).
In Japan, basically EVERYTHING was an option, hence the variety of specs, across the chassis' HTH.
Oh and yes, looks very tidy! GLWTS

rear arches have never been painted, no rust issues at all.
