I just did the front and rear with the Energy Suspension inserts. I wouldn't go any harder than that unless it's track only! The amount of rattles that have appeared

If you really want to, I do the inserts on the front/back and either leave the sides, or get them filled with one of the softest options.

I filled my own, I filled the gearbox and cambelt and the front. I left the rear as it was awkward, and intended to do it at a later date. There is a significant improvement in the stability of the engine, but I get no unwanted vibrations at all. I'll be leaving it as it is now.

Well the car is heading towards the track but its still my daily drive so it would need to be a compromise on the compound used.
Do ES do the engine mounts seperate?
What id seen on PUK that if you go the custom route then there was that there was a range of compounds to choose from.

Sounds like it worked for you - what stuff did you use?
As ive got a set to work on thats off the car i should be able to get a reasonable result ....

I used this stuff.

It's a liquid polyurethane. I've used it on many other cars before and never had a problem. I just fill the gaps in the mount, rather than gutting it completely first.

ive bought two tubes of the sikaflex 221 off ebay - costs about £8 per tube of 300ml - available in black, white or grey.
will post up some pics once ive got the mounts filled - going to acid etch any bare metal bits where sikaflex is being applied.

Drill a few holes into the bushings to release some stiffness.

Do you mean drill holes in the oem bushing before putting in the sikaflex or after its been added - the sikaflex stuff is about 40 shore hardness - the oem ones must be more than that - theyre solid.

No. Drill holes into the new poly bushing all the way through to allow some flex.

Well thats all 4 filled with sikaflex - easy to do - will fit them to see how it feels. Vtecmec seems happy with his set up so im hoping for good results but if i need to soften them up a bit then i can drill some holes in them like you suggest. I managed to do all 4 mounts with 1 tube of sikaflex at £8
;)
The only tip i can offer when using the sikaflex is not to overwork it - put the sikaflex in evenly filling the mount 50percent of the depth each side and only have one or two goes at smoothing it like i say dont overwork it.
