No, agreed. But it's down to what you want/need isn't it. If and that's a big IF, it's a clean as it suggests, and I needed a replacement for mine, I'd probably look at it with a 3k max in my head but obviously different folksMerlin wrote:2 grand is doable IMO but I don't see £4K's worth of car there. Unless someone has a real hard on for a low milage car.
and all that

All retrims are seatcovers really. Since it slides over the foam.
I personally love the diamond stitching. Wanted it in my S.
It has potential but not 4k potential. Maybe 2.5k

The mileage on my BB4 is in that ball park, maybe I should sell it
Would be a nice profit considering I paid £650 for it

But is it in that (hypothetically speaking) condition? With FHSH?
I'm sure people just think I want my car to be worth more, but it's not that at all. The point I am making is that up to a point, cars are valued pretty much on age, then no mans land, then condition. The lude is IMo coming out of no mans land ( where to some its worth maybe twice as much as to others) and starting to be valued on condition. There WILL come a point, where it doesnt matter if it's 25 years old or 27 years old, it'll be about condition and benefits like mileage. I've seen it happen loads of times before with all types of cars, we just happen to be in that odd situation where the 'bar' of value isn't really set, its worth the value the given buyer gives it

I'm joking mate, it has no wheels
Full service history, albeit some non Honda, back to the date of import though
But yeah if you go by trade prices, unless a car is a few years old then they're worth pennies. But trade pricing is based on your garden variety cars, it's really only applicable to cars being bought and sold as everyday runners for non enthusiasts. Enthusiasts will set the price of anything else. Tbh I don't have a problem with my car being worth £650, it was one of the reasons I bought it

Don't get me wrong, I'm not an idiot and if I could get the same car for 2k less then that'd be lovely thanks! I'm just trying to get honest discussion going about what is, at the moment anyway, a thorny/difficult subject!

Not sure if it's just the light, but that lude looks like it's been resprayed to me, and not in the original whiteJust me?...
4k for an 20 years old prelude is too much even it has only 54 k miles
i bought the black prelude in my signature in 2006 with only 29k miles for 3 k and its a 96 prelude
