For anybody wondering, the replacement fob cases on eBay won't house the PCB from an original 5G fob, it's too wide.

What about replacement 4th gen remote central locking keys? Anyone know if this is an option at Honda or anywhere else?

When I casually asked in my local Honda dealer while ordering something else, the parts guy didn't think it would be a problem (but didn't check).

@MazingerZ, my lude has a working fob in good condition. it just operates the central locking, it runs parallel with my toad alarm, i have 2 fobs for this, the Honda fob does not deactivate the toad alarm. so i have stripped the board out of it.

i will send you my stripped fob only if you can guarantee to send me your old case halves, 2 buttons, rubber contact pad and battery cover with seal so i can keep my fob working for emergency use, then you can have mine for £15 posted.

compare inner board.

Thanks for the offer, but I've just about managed to sort mine out, including getting the light to work again. This will do until I sort out an alarm and new fob.
