Suggestions for wheel nuts...

Its my preference to never touch alloy wheelnuts after I almost lost a wheel due to them. Steel wheels nuts are the safest bet IMO, although normal driving shouldnt stress out alloy nuts. I use steel Muteki 36g tuner nuts:

i think its par for the course. if you have steel wheel nuts you tighten them up and leave them till you need to change a wheel.

if your running ally then you should check them all each couple of weeks for wear, movement, damage.

you modify your maintainance schedule to accomodate the modification.

Well I've done Mallory Park and drag racing.. ( yes i know straight line racing but then you turn off at high speed... well at shakespeare raceway you do

) also fast driving on the roads for many years... plus recently where i did a 360 down a country road up a small bank.. into some light tree bushes then back down.. with all this.. I'VE NEVER had a problem with my Rays nuts.. i guess it all depends on the design ( what Dino said) the make!! and quality of them!!! plus Dino had them too before he stripped the car.. and WE ALL KNOW HOW HE DRIVES!!

I bet MOST people who have lost a wheel have done this: Not put the nuts on in the correct way/order to tighten them up, fitted a non-known make/cheap make, Done them up too tight or not tight enough!, another big factor is what wheels you've fitted too.. like having wheels stick out miles, ET and massive camber this will put more tension on the nuts!!

This is my opinion so no offence.. But Macky_6 you tracking her? if not you got no worries if you buy a good make...

Word of warning tho.. Tegiwa stuff is not always great.. you get your good and then you get the crap

A lot of Tewiga is replica stuff as well... There's just a lot of it. Probably put them in the same league as Blox... Which ain't no Skunk2

Tewiga have crap customer service to. Only in it for themselves, never there to help. Slightly off topic I know, but just wanted to throw that out there

bought some tegiwa washers for oem wheels

but dunno if it just the DC5's I decided it was more dangerous to have them on

the tuner nuts fitted better without them

alloy nuts have cracked on me before, always go for steel from now on
