Yes, it's probably a bit of dirt in the buttons gubbins.

That was my assumption, but operating the button (lots in my case) should have cleared that and it didn't. It just cleared itself after a while, so I was thinking more likely dirt on the pcb tracking across?

Didn't even get a chance to have a look at it, however its not been a problem since. Just need to change the time back to reality

Mine's just gone plain devious now! It hasn't gone wrong again while I've been using it, it's obviously thought

I'll do it when I'm not being used...

Used it yesterday and the clock was just over an hour fast (it was fine last time I used the car).
Went to adjust it and after I stopped adjusting the minutes (let go of the switch and it returned to the middle) it ran on for another 3-4 minutes. Did that repeatedly, even did it when I flicked the switch straight from adjusting minutes all the way over to hours (the hours adjusted while the minutes were still adjusting...)

So for that to be the case, it either is crap on the board giving slightly low resistance between pins, or the adjustment switch isn't actually a 3-position switch (hr-off-min) it's 2x 2-position switches (hr on-hr off and min on-min off) that the plastic knob floats in between and the minute one is sticking...

Gonna have to come apart and be cleaned to sort this one by the looks

Uh ok mate. I think I've been extremely lucky as it stopped for me. It only happened the once and hasn't happened since.
So fingers crossed the clock should be fine and won't need attention

Holy thread revival batman!
My UKDM did this on Sunday. About half an hour into driving, the minutes on the clock suddenly started advancing and carried on doing it for about 20 minutes and then stopped by themselves and been fine since.

So that's 3 ludes suffered it.

I'm wondering if it could be electrolytic caps going down with age.

This could be the next main relay epidemic!

My Dad puts the clock 5 minutes forward in every car he drives as he says it helps make him on time

real pain in the arse if you jump into a car he's used though, as you suddenly jobby yourself thinking you're late
