Re: mugen bb4 + alex's engine
sorry i havent given a proper update sooner, all ive done this past few days is drive
so £150 in fuel later and i love it to death
so far ive killed 2 integras, a few CTR's and a 350z (are these 260 bhp?)
the "launch control" could do with being maybe 1k revs lower because it just lights the tyres up but i can live with that
i honestly kick myself for not just buying alex's engine in the first place, its a totally different animal now and everyone ive taken out in it cant believe the power
anyway, gave it a clean today, sprayed and fitted my mint condition azect spats i got from nafe then took it for a blast

and this is ava's face after her first bit of vtec with the new motor

cracks me up, shes 2 and the first words she said when we pulled over were "feels faster!"
she's a lude fan for life for sure
anyway heres whats been done since my last update
alex's engine fitted (a5 bottom end with a7 head/intake)
traction bar fitted
tramroad harness bar (drokking love this thing)
hondata s300
polybushed engine mounts
carbon fibre intake
decat fitted
bits waiting to go on are -
black headlights
full polybush kit
legend calipers with grooved discs
new front strut bar
harnesses
and im on the hunt for new coilovers when ive recoup'd some cash, because trust me the last few months havent been cheap!!!!!

Re: mugen bb4 + alex's engine

which reminds me! i have a dizzy to return! ive stuck a new cap on it for you aswell

lemme know when your free and ill pop down again and let you take the car for a spin

That was my thought on it too! I did look at lowering it but the smanage software doesn't seem to like windows 7 as it wouldn't connect to the ECU properly, but I could have been doing something wrongbristol_bb4 wrote:the "launch control" could do with being maybe 1k revs lower because it just lights the tyres up but i can live with that

I must say, I'm happy for you. However, I'm also VERY jealous that you have my motor in your lude! I miss the low end torque that thing had

Glad it's getting some mileage tho. And serious Kudos for the Recaro baby seat, that's a great touch!
