Ratty you got some skills.. 8-) 8-)

Few questions tho..

1. You running rear speakers?
2. If you do, wont the massive sub play up with them... with the pressure of the sub!?
3. Wont the sub make the rear seat fabric pump in and out? also wont it make the seat rattle on the lock?

Ratty sorry for making mess in your topic but if anybody want to have a small sub in Lude and still keep a space in the boot that is a nice alternative::

I know that is a micro sub if you compare to Scott's but belive me or not is giving a lot of nice bass.

That sub was fitted in standart in Acura RSX, but that was in USA, in europe the same sub was in Mazda 6, and my came from Mazda.
ludes are ment to be driven, not wanking around on a stand like a Civic.

1- No. Rear speakers were invented by the devil. They do nothing but ruin the sound stage. They drag it back. When you go to a gig you face the band not put your back to them unless anal rape is on the cards. You can get rear ambiance from front speakers mounted properly. I can argue all day about rears and always win.

2- You are correct and this is the biggest mistake everyone makes with any type of sub in the back with rear speakers. The pressure the sub creates over works the rear speakers and eventually blows them.

3 - No the fabric doesnt push back and forward, the seats are quite tight so its ok. But if you sit in the back seat you can feel the seat vibrate, but if i have rear passengers i will turn the sub off.
The rear seat is soo heavy now and well dampened that it doesnt rattle on the lock. The lock is actually very tight. The seats have no movement at all.

Cebul no worries. For people who want stealth bass yours is the way forward. Around £80 on ebay. Mazda 6 bose subwoofer.

Yer the bose sub wont drop low due to its 8" size and small enclosure but it will hit the upper subbass with easy and give some quality to your system.

Ratty, do you know if those spare wheel subs are easy to wire in? Any idea what the wires are - I assume the little component bit is a small amp?

Looks cool, not sure it's right for mine with performance in mind, but the missus beamer would be nice. 8)

All looking good so far - you do know your stuff.
