15kg loss in weight apparently, when you take the evaporator out as well :D

There is a good write up in the wiki on this. http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/honda-p ... -t729.html

I cant wait for the improved bodywork update.

But it is a work of art that car. Ugly but a work of art can be ugly. 8-)

Thanks for the link Merlin :) doesn't look like its too hard to take the evaporator out then?

Newkid, my air con hasn't worked for years so all the seals are probably perished, plus the radiator was falling to pieces so I didn't really want to get involved in trying to get it all working again  plus the more things I remove, the more space for all the turbo bits and pieces 8-)

Ratty, body work is a way off yet I'm afraid but I'm hoping what I have in mind will change a few peoples opinion of the looks of the car. It still won't be to everyone's taste but it should be a bit more subtle.

Good work Chris.

I've always loved this lude, I remember the day when I got ripped off by some guy on ebay when I bought a predator bumper (non-wide arch one) from Australia. So nearly went this route on the front on the first year or two of ownership (2003-2004). It does look overkill in this day and age of bodystyling. Everything has gone more subtle. I think just changing that front bumper to something plainer and getting it to line up with the arches / bonnet. Maybe a modified standard bumper with a nice lip stretched to meet everything, like the wide arch ME Edition in Germany. 8)

And some wheels to make use of those arches is a must in the future.

Either way, she's getting some love recently, good to see.

Cheers Rob :) I'm really enjoying working on it at the moment so I'm just doing all the jobs that should of been done years ago! Ive found out little but often is the way to go 8-)

I'm unsure about the styling a bit but that's a good idea about a standard bumper, I might mock one up if I can get it cheap enough. Wheel wise, they will definitely be changed but I've got to work out how small I can go without them looking stupid, I need some more tyre wall!

Well, the evaporator is out now and in the bin and it is a heavy lump! Still waiting on the belt to turn up so I can ditch the compressor though.

Whist I was out I thought I'd get rid of the badly faded Meguiars stickers which were all the rage a few year ago!

After:

The above picture made me embarrassed about the condition of the window seals so I gave them a bit of a refurb with G3 scratch remover:

They came up a lot better but not perfect, the G3 seemed to get rid of the worst of it but there are still blemishes on the seals. Has anyone else had more success returning them to "as new"?

Cheers bud :) no it didn't take long at all, once you have got the glovebox out (4 or 5 phillips head screws) access is really good to the evaporator box :)
