What a day, finished work early managed to get half the day off because I worked overtime last night with a good arrest. Any way got home and decided to fix the door, all by myself!

Image

Stripped the door down and managed to wiggle out the door handle and door mechanism..

It kept slipping on this part of the lock

I could only open the door from the inside but not the outside. Was a right pain in the ass letting the misses in the car all the time although I did look like a right gentleman! People must of thought she was a right stuck up bitch!

Then as I had time decided to finish off the job and strip out the air con pump and put the we belt on..

Now after a bit of work it took me about an hour to take that out it was all done. With no squeaky belts either first time! :D

And now the engine bay looks like this... Recently I hear wrapped the manifold, it's not the best but for a first time I'm happy with is. I'm still itching all over a week or two later!

Also the chipped ECU was put in a while ago. Can't remember if I mentioned this or not?!

Well that's my day... Time for a beer!

It wasnt sticking, it had been broken into previously when the last owner had it. For some reason the outside handle didnt work at all, at least it wasn't badly damaged but of just pulled the hadle so hard it slept down the thread or something. Feels so weird to have a working passenger door! The misses had a go at me for not opening the door for her, then told her to open it she was soon sorry! Lol

So today I did a massive clean on the inside getting ready for Santa pod. My misses rented a rug doctor for the house so after she had used it i decided to use it on the car did all the floor carpets, matts and seats. Here's a few pics..

From this:

Half of it done:

And the muck that came out of 21 year old seats and carpet:

Also decided to spray the interior tweeter covers from grey:

To black:

Did the rocker cover too with some hammerite, from this:

Did it on the cheap with a tin of paint and a paint brush in gloss black :D

Trying to get it looking as good as I can ready for Sunday.

Cheers mate, you can get them from places like Homebase or any hire or buy shops. Worker a treat still can't get rid of the typical Honda smell though! They all seem to smell the same to me, sounds weird but i found this in my mates old lude too.
