Well done on the MOT as well as the whole car, not jealous in the least ;)

Where did you go for the MOT, I spoke to treads in Airdrie, and after I told them car was off the road for three years was told it would need discs & pads all the way round and most likely the brake pipes... he hadnt even seen the car yet
Now he might be right but then again maybe not.
Its a work in progress

Pics work fine for me Dino.

claymore  that's utter cobblers... Ignore them and don't take the car there by the sounds.
Discs will be corroded.
Best case if it doesn't look deep at all, you'll get by with driving it round for a bit to clean them up before the MOT (beware, they'll sound horrible at first and you'll get very little performance from them)
Next best case if it looks deep, don't try driving it because you can end up badly chipping the edges of the pads or at worst, stripping the friction material off the backing plates. Wheels off, pads out and rub back the discs clean with an emery cloth. If there's no pitting, put everything back together and take them for a spin.
Worst case, deep corrosion and pitting, new discs. Makes sense to change the pads for the small cost and time it can take used pads to wear into new discs.

No reason what so ever to assume the brake pipes will need changing. :tosser:
