Holy funk man, I knew your install was serious but that is freaking boss!

(Also, please play some holy funk when this is done)

One question: if you have rear speakers, can you take a picture of the connectors/plugs? Mine has been chopped off and don't know what it looks like.
Rear speakers!!!!! DONT START.

BUT

Are you running the stock rears with the acoustic feedback system? If so i have the wiring i think all still complete with connectors. Will go and check for you.
Do you have the acoutsic feedback box. Its a long rectangular box under the rear shelf.

Yep. But the whole audio system isnt massively heavy.
My aim is PURE SQ. Not SPL.
I removed
- All OEM deadening - 12kg
- Sparewheel and jack - 15kg
- Stock battery - 18kg
- Front & Rear speakers and acoustic feedback system 6kg

So around 51kg removed

Put in
- Aftermarket deadening including liquid deadening on heatshields - 20kg
- Amp rack with amps and processor - 15kg
- Wiring - 5kg
- 3 way component speakers using lightweight neo magnets 4kg
- Sub with plywood - 16kg
- Car audio battery - 15kg

So around 75kg added

Not bad really and weight is spread much better than before.

Yep its pretty tech.

So

INFINITE BAFFLE SUBWOOFERS
IB for short. IB is the way forward. Most people on here run IB with their midbass/midrange speakers in the doors. Doors arnt completely sealed and leak so the enclosure becomes almost infinite in size.
IB refers to the subwoofers enclosure. You have sealed, ported, bandpass, Aperiodic and IB.
IB means an infinitely large enclosure and the baffle seperates the front waves to the back waves of the sub. You must seals everything or you get bass cancellation. The enclosure in IB becomes the boot, bumper vents and outside world so massive.

Basically IB subwoofers have no enclosure to act as a high pass so the subwoofer will drop all the way to the lowest frequency until it bottoms out. With a sealed enclosue the pressure in the enclousure stops the sub bottoming out but you wont drop low, generally only to 30hz but can have high power.
With IB you can drop to 10hz and even lower sometimes.
Downside is the sub can bottom out easily and cant handle alot of power. For this reason not all subs can run IB. In fact hardly any can unless designed for it.
The Fi IB3 i use is designed for IB. It has ALOT of XMAX or excursion so helps it stop bottoming out and a high power handling, good QTS and low FS.

Ib subs also have no enclosure to colour the sound. Its very natural sounding and rolls off naturally. Great for SQ.

If you have ever heard 17hz with some authority in a Prelude, you wont believe what rattles. The whole rear bumpers shakes slowly not fast.

When at japshow we will get some wobblies on the go. Give some girls pleasure also.

Anyone wanting a stealth Subwoofer that is very much OEM check out Cebuls Sub. Its a Bose sub froma Mazda and sits PERFECTLY inside the spare wheel. Not the wheel well but actually inside the wheel itself. Sounds good too. Not a pant wobbler by any means.
Yes Cebul do it.
