takes a lot more effort to turn it now which is basically an easy way of explaining what your brakes go through when you upsize on your wheels.

It's a relevant point though. The overall diameter will have been increased over stock, which might have something to do with why the brakes are under performing. I'll get the new ones fitted initially & keep you updated with how I get on with that.
It's also worth noting that the speedo probably won't read right when all the work has been undertaken, due to the larger wheels & different engine. I understand this can be remedied; how though?

Not necessarily. The profile of a 17" tyre should just be that much smaller to keep the overall circumference the same. You just sacrifice handling and comfort that's all.CrunchyAdams82 wrote:The overall diameter will have been increased over stock
