are there any markings on the disc edges to confirm the make of the disc is ebc?

Good point.

To put my 2p's worth in. They don't look like EBC discs to me. Their grooved ones have dimples and grooves and not as many as that. And the way they finish them leaves them a tarnished goldy colour (plating???). But they still look like really nice discs all the same and at that price I wouldn't worry.
