what about 5mm/10mm spacers or something?

I don't think I can get away with that, the alloys/tyres stick out too much as it is. I think i'll grind down the carriers some more and then repaint them.

Have you tried rolling/pulling the arches yet? That'd give you a bit of clearance to then add spacers... Possibly.

Not yet, I drove the car around without lowering it any further and the wheels did not touch the arches, the rears will definitely need to be rolled if I lower it anymore, the fronts clear as is but if I add spacers to get extra carrier clearance I will have to do it then as well as cut the inner liner tabs off.

I have taken the car off the road again to complete the finishing touches, a few issues became apparent whilst driving it yesterday and this morning. Things I am going to work on next:

1. Install correct length drive shafts - I have a feeling some of the standard prelude shafts will give me the correct lengths.
2. Raise engine - currently the very front of the supercharger is the closest to the underside of the bonnet, I shall be trying to pivot the engine forward to get more ground clearance, this will also straighten out the angle of the drive shafts a little more.
3. Shift engine across 10mm, this will give me more clearance infront of the cam chain cover & shift the exhaust away from the master cylinder.
4. I need some cooling vents at the back of the bonnet on the sides, this should promote air flow at the back of the engine bay around the header, need to have a think about what to do so that it doesnt look chavvy.
5. I don't like engine cooling routing, the design allows air to collect at the exit of the cylinder head which is a no-no! Will be looking at prices on a tucked radiator, a header tank and complete AN16 hoses & fittings
6. With a redesigned radiator I shall be able to fit a proper cold air intake.

Ok, so last night I got my upgraded Walbro 255 fitted from the civic, only thing I had to change was the length of pipe from the pump to the pipe.

Finished drawing up the modifcations to two of my engine mounts, the Air Con blank grommet and the engine harness grommet which uses some conduit bulkhead glands to give a snug seal.

Be wary of vents on the back of the bonnet. It does not nesessarily mean airlow due to the positive pressure over the top if the bonnet. If anything at speed it may be hotter. At idle it will vent out
But its difficult to prove.
